3 Steps to selecting the right people to follow on twitter
These are what I look for when I confirm a follow back or follow. I do not believ that it is necessary to follow everyone that follows you and these are my methods to chose right & best people to follow.
- Has A 'Respectable' Display Picture - Be it a brand, person or company. The DP shows you are serious. You could get followed by porn stars or bots, so a good DP is a great differentiator.
- Has a Quality Timeline with @ Replies & links shared - High interactivity and information sharing. If somebody has a sales pitch or discount claims I prefer to ignore them to.
- The list of 'Followers vs Following' – Look for a healthy number. More followers than following is surely safe. If it is the otherway round then I look for a good ratio like ( 1 : 0.96 ) followers to following.
